NIKKOR-Q·C 1:3.5 f=5cm Nippon-Kogaku Tokyo No.705xxx
The last and most common of the collapsible 5cm 1:3.5 series.
Serial numbers probably start at 7051 and continue to at least 70527xx.
Most were made in Leica screw mount, unlike earlier series which use the slightly different Canon J screw mount.
Some were also made in Nikon S rangefinder mount, so for the first time we have a Nikkor lens for a Nikon camera!
Apart from that, this series follows on from the pervious versions with only minor changes:
- Early lenses are marked "Nippon-Kogaku" with a hyphen, which later changed to "Nippon Kogaku" without a hyphen.
- Engravings on the name ring are slightly heavier and clearer than before.
- Nikon S rangefinder mount lenses intermixed with Leica screw mount during production.
