Replacing the classic Ai 80-200/4.5, the AiS lens offers a 2/3 stop increase in speed and a much improved close focus limit of 1.2m. This is achieved with the an additional element and larger 62mm filter size. Although the lens appears bulkier the overall dimensions are unchanged and there is only a slight increase in weight.
